Haven’t heard much about what actually happened but when I heard that golfboy was hit with four separate charges I decided to go ahead and conclude that the cop is one of those “authoritah” guys and all of the charges will eventually be dropped.
He needed a driver, but got new irons instead.
I had a neighbor who was arrested for selling drugs near a school and a city park. The news report listed at least eight charges. He never did any time in jail.

It’s really very simple to be drug by a car, you have to be holding on to the car. Most cars made I. The last twenty five years don’t give you much to hold onto.

Show me. The line backed up a long way possibly a mile, the officer was there for crowd and traffic control at a fatal traffic accident right at the entrance to a major sporting event that was expecting thousands of cars, there were lit police cars all over the area, he was in the wrong lane trying to drive around an accident scene that was being funnelled through the intersection, didn’t act when the well marked cop asked him the stop, and didn’t for between 30 and 60 feet while hitting the cop. I hope the your witnesses have got a lot better to add than that.

According to police, the cop wasn’t wearing a cam at the time of the incident. So there is nothing other than a rumor of a civilian getting a little video on a private camera and the rumor is that the police have it. I doubt you’ll ever see it.

Why would a cop be trying to work the event when you have a fatal accident right at the entrance. He’s a cop doing his job.

Outside of the course, he is a citizen with no special priviliges. And he changed into the lane that contained oncoming traffic that was being controlled by police. He broke the law.

Where’s the report, I’d love to see that one. Even if it’s true, a driver pulls into oncoming traffic out of stopped traffic, the cops stop him and they are expected not to investigate what he’s doing that is so dangeroius to many people?
Also, the incident that created Scottie’s arrest could have started when he acted in an unsafe driving action.
He was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony charge, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic. Dragging the cop was just part of it.

I guess I’m kind of “old school.” The traditional function of a signature is to permanently affix to a document a person’s uniquely personal, undeniable self-identification as physical evidence of that person’s personal witness and certification of the content of all, or a specified part, of the document. A long time ago I started using this as a finalization on a topic and way of invitation to comment. It kind of signifies that these are my thoughts and puts a closure to that statement giving someone an idea of remembering past statments to assist in identifying who I am.

The Scheffler incident did not happen where the traffic fatality occurred. Shealer was almost to the entrance of the golf club. The fake news media likes to imply that it all happened right where someone had just died.

He was stopped at the point he was illegally in the lane that had oncoming traffic, refused to entertain the cop’s directions, and after a brief pause, surged forward and entered the entrance to the course while the cop was trying to get him stopped and was holding on to the car. It doesn’t make any difference where the accident occurred or if it was any accident in the area. There was traffic control and was well lighted by police cars, cops wearinbg visible vests, and no one else was going down that lane or he would have had to stop before he got clear of traffic and close to the entrance with cars in front of him. He was being directed by police and refused to follow directions. He broke the law. If he can’t wait and follow simple directions, he shouldn’t be behind the wheel.

For what reason? If they had let him go and not said anything then it never would have hit ESPN. And there are many honest cops out there. So bunching them all up as liars with no proof won’t be a defence in court. If that’s the case, better get a warrant for congress...all of it.

I was once a passenger in a car stopped at an intersection. A cop was there waving his arms around and hollering. He told us to take a left turn. It wasn’t where we wanted to go but we did. He ran over and hollered - completely out of control and wrote a big ticket. The three of us sat there stunned. He must have had a left right confusion. Anyway we all went to court and it was dismissed.
They don’t have an easy job and it was dark and raining. The cop owns a traffic accident company that supplies ‘expert’ police for court testimony. He was probably excited about all the money he was going to make.
