Back when I was a boy, there was a Sunday comic strip called 'Strange Laws'.
If it can be regulated, it will be regulated.

Some crazy tyranical NY laws

In ny it will be illegal to install a gas, oil or wood burning device in New homes come 2035

And, it will be illegal to buy a gas powered vehicle in the not too distant future (though i’m assuming grandfathered classic vehicles will still be allowed to purchase- but still)

Every state and tons of localities have “old fashion” laws still on the books, the vast majority of which are not invoked today.

Any law, at any level of government, should automatically be revoked if there hasn’t been a successful prosecution under it for a certain period, say ten years. Whether it proves impossible to convict a violator, or whether the law simply gets overlooked, either way it’s a useless law.

I remember years ago reading an article about old arcane laws. The one that cracked me up the most since I was a fairly young driver was the loss still on the books that required any automobile entering the town to be preceded by a certain distance by someone waving a red lamp, apparently to warn the townsfolk.

Re: #6ā€¦Hunting remote via the internet.

From a real case earlier this century, where as people paid to hunt from home by internet connection ā€œguideā€ service.

Do not recall if any game animals were harvested in this method.

Was a FR thread.
