My dad has a small open wound in his mouth from radiation for salivary gland cancer. The last treatment was 2 years or so ago. I wonder if the niacin might be effective for that. He’s 93 and still pretty active. Niacin is amazing stuff. If he's open to experiencing the flush, there are all kinds of benefits, including getting statins out of his life (if he's taking them).
Lavender oil is also good to counter the effects of radiation, even after the fact.
