“HEART” and “COMMON SENSE”...But I thought that banning abortion WAS all about HEART.

Banning abortions was a bedrock Republican value till there was a political reckoning. Now the calculus is that the babies will just have to wait.

Nevertrumping desantis supporters want Trump to cause himself and the republican party to self destruct by having an absolute abortion ban....

because for them, it’s worth it for them to keep Trump out of office, even if the country goes full blown socialist or marxist with biden and the left winning the 2024 elections

A baby is inside the womb from the start until day of birth. Murder is never justified.

That was never true.

They let you think that "Reversing Roe v. Wade" = "Banning abortions", and I blame them for lying to you.

Abortion procedures have ALWAYS been subject to State legislation, just as they are now. The hole in the Constitution has been repaired.

I hope Dobbs reduces the fetal body count while permitting Republicans to win elections. I’m not confident that will happen. We’ll see.

The only excuse out there.. Men don’t have a clue about abortion.. What goes on.. And that’s no excuse.. Maybe 2 daughters, a wife, daughters in law... Have gotten to him for the bites.. Women who want abortion option are some of the most selfish people.. It’s worth a car..and I don’t know how a human can kill their own.. They’d save a puppy tho.

Trump’s notion of what’s ideal punishes the not-yet-born for the sins/crimes of others.

Ideally, they should be left alone and given the same chance at life as those others had.

NFN, but Trump appears to be parroting Sean Hannity’s deviant position. Hannity self-declares as Catholic but is no oracle or prophet and should not be relief upon when it comes to this issue.

Trump as usual opens his mouth when keeping it shut would better serve him. He just told a bunch of voters who would have voted for him to stay home to placate those who will never vote for him.

Not a federal matter.

States Rights matter.

So, each state will decide; and, Arizona for now, has made a decision.

- - -

The problem of millions of women killing their babies . . . is an individual problem for each of the mothers.

Pray that each chooses well, and, that each may be forgiven.

The Biden Administration’s notions of what a “couple” is, and also not knowing that a male is a male, and a female is a female, presents a problem.

That discourages a mother’s surrendering a new baby to the clutches of left-wing “children’s social services.”

Trump is correct in a legal sense, and while I absolutely hate it, the issue should always have been in control of the states. On the other hand, there is absolutely no need to support a particular state outcome on abortion when you’re working on the federal level.

I get it that Trump needs to muddy the waters for AZ and I also get that it’s unclear what Trump’s abortion position is. But there’s a personal and moral and spiritual cost to supporting abortion. I have a close friend who helped 3 partners get abortions when he was young, he got saved and fixed his life and every single one of them haunts him now.

The Supreme Court of AZ did not make any laws they did their job and ruled on whether the law violated AZ’s constitution. You would think Trump would be rather cautious about trashing a court’s decision that was not based on political bias.

“Banning abortions was a bedrock Republican value till there was a political reckoning.”

Not true that it was “bedrock”, which would imply “universal” within the GOP, which was never true.

The GOP’s main aborion positions at the national level were:

(1) Roe V Wade was wrong on CONSTITUTIONAL grounds and NOT because of a Constitutional ban on abortion, but because the Constitution is MUTE on abortion. It is, as Alito said, a matter for the states.

(2) The federal government and all taxpayers should not be funding or promoting abortion.

(3) Abortion should not be abortion on demand under any, no matter what, circumstances,

(4) On a moral basis, abortion is killing of a life in the womb.

Beyond all that, the GOP voters and legislatures have had different approahces to the abortion laws, before Roe and after Roe was discarded. I think most of the GOP approaches are not terribly far apart, but I’d not agree there was one “bedrock” GOP position.

Full disclosure: In all of the above I am speaking of my political observations, not my own position, which is pro-life.

uh Trump
you should shut your mouth about this and
focus on what you accomplished: making abortion a state issue

women can go another state to kill their babies
