The House democrats are sandbagging. The bill had added restrictions to shut down the abuses that gave us Russiagate. It also would have required a judicial warrant to spy on American citizens. The dems don’t want the restrictions.
Now this bill, with restrictions, gets shot down in the House and Schumer pushes through a clean bill in the Senate with no restrictions. He won’t need a single GOP vote.
The Senate bill gets sent to the House and it only takes a couple of turncoat republicans (we know they exist because they just outed themselves) to join all of the dems voting for it and we are back to the same unfettered government spying at will.
