DEI pilot?
When will businesses like United Airlines realize that hiring people who didn’t earn it (DEI ) does not help?
“DEI pilot?”
The pilot of those big boys can’t see the wings. All ground ups close to anything else must be supervised by outside sources. Nope, this a problem with the ground crew. Could be DEI, could be DemocRATz. Oh, forgot, those are both the same thing.
United and SFO again. There’s a problem there.
Ultimately, pilot’s fault. Easy to get complacent.
United is certainly hurting for pilots. An AF friend, who was a navigator turned pilot (for around 2 years in the AF), got hired by United in a direct to Captain slot. He has a lot of nav time but not that much as an Aircraft Commander (I’m sure he met the mins for that reduced ATP thing). Sound head on his shoulders but it shows how desperate they are.
DEI
I had never heard of “direct to captain” for an airline pilot before. That is scary.
This is not uncommon....Bewhahahaha
woman driver.
My first thought.
I realize that the view from the cockpit window to the wingtip is poor, (if even possible on the big jets, like the 787 for example). But as expensive at jetliners are, you would think they’d at least have automotive style ‘backup’ cameras on each side: just behind the cockpit, and on the wingtips.
Sometimes they get in close proximity of other jets when still a ways from the gates.
Was the parked aircraft a Boeing?!! Those a-holes!
This is what happens when your ceo is a “didn’t earn it” drag queen.
Have you looked at who is the majority of ground crews, lately?
American airports resemble downtown Mogadishu, more than the do Des Moines.
That is my guess as well. At busy airports pilots are going to follow the yellow lines to their assigned parking spot..
Regardless of who did it or how they got their jobs, there’s no escaping the fact that this country has become just plain incompetent (no pun intended). It’s enough to make me long for the Carter years. At least we had good music back then.
Planes collide at Heathrow; not to be outdone, planes collide at sfo.
“Hello, this is your captain. Can anybody tell me what this button is for?”
