What did the sack cutter do to get himself in prison? And what did he use for the surgery? A shank?
Gender Dysphoria is not a medical condition. There is no disfunction of the body, no infection or parasite infecting the body. There is no threat to physical health of the patient.
Gender Dysphoria is a mental illness that presents no threat to the patient’s physical wellbeing. Most people afflicted with Gender Dysphoria lead normal lives and give little outward indication of their illness.
Gender affirming surgery is not necessary and is counter productive to the on going good health of the patient and is likely to reduce the lifespan of the patient. Following such Gender Affirming surgery the patient requires on going medical care for the maintenance of body modifications.
As gender affirming surgery is elective (not necessary to preserve life or health) providing such care by a prison system for a prisoner would be an improper use of tax payer funds.
Any care provided by the prison system should be psychiatric care aimed at aligning the patient’s gender self perception with their physical gender.
However as this psychiatric care is not generally necessary to the life and health of a prisoner and Gender Dysphoria typically does not cause behavioral issues in an individual that would likely cause the prisoner to be a threat to themselves or others, such care if it is to be provided by the prison system this care should be a matter legislated by the state and the funds for this care be provided by the state specifically for this care.
I wonder what being sans testicles does to a body - heart, brain and bones in particular.
If only he’d joined the military so the taxpayers would provide that service for free.
Good one.
