Trump spoke extemporaneously for an hour and a half, telling multiple stories at the same time intentionally, so that he could wind up his storytelling by finally returning to his opening story to complete it succinctly, disproving critics’ accusations of degrading mental accuity.
Also, he gives multiple speeches in several states over a weeks time, and returns to his home nightly I’m Florida, most of the time, all while juggling court appearances on around 4-5 hours sleep.

My diagnosis is that he’s been sucked into a notoriety vortex and keeps saying things to get his name in the newspapers, get speaking gigs, and get attention.
