The feds have no constitutional authority over state law. That’s up to the people of AL.
It’s harder when otherwise well-meaning people don’t get it.
Some people can’t get past ‘every sperm is sacred’.
Boo hoo we can’t play God create test tube babies and slaughter a load of healthy ones at the same time cry me a river it’s a complete waste of human life and effort to create mor when you destroy so much already
Smart to get out in front of this AND framing it as the pro life position.
Here we go...
The feds have no constitutional authority over state law. That’s up to the people of AL.
I agree with Trump on this. Until placed in a womb, an embryo is not a person.
Yes, absolutely smart to get out in front of this now. The other side will try to hang this over all Republicans in the coming election.
Did you even bother reading the statement?
Today, I am calling on the Alabama Legislature to act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama.
Fed.gov should have zero say over morality in this nation
As a Christian and “retired” NICU RN, I have never supported IVF. Aside from “playing God” and creating life through alternative modalities, they are destroying more in that very process, thus less visible sacrifices to their god than abortion. Criminalizing it and those involved after the fact just heaps more evil on the innocent as the guilty always have money and lawyers. May God be merciful.
No doubt there are going to be Repukes with wishy washy answers because they don’t know what to think until they read their talking points. Just repeat after Trump on this and don’t let them make 2024 about this.
Where a person is located is not how we define whether that person is a person or not.
but then these are not just “sperm” are they?
I once saw this creepy film called “Embryo”. That should definitely be banned in ALL states.
Besides IVF, there are a host of issues raised by new technologies we aren't equipped to manage morally or ethically, much less legally.
Plus, if embryos = children, could I freeze a bunch of them and claim, say, 300 dependents on my taxes? I think not.
Governor Grandma down here has already made the same request of the legislature.
Now he has to get "independents" votes.
This is strategic.
