Isnt this guy dead?
Well, I do know we are not worthy of a relationship with God.
“Did God choose you or did you choose God.”
Ephesians 4–5
I listen to it all the time. The words are moving - except for the hare Krishna part.
Harrison turned out to be very creative and really began to shine after the Beatles busted up.
The words he wrote in My Sweet Lord would make you believe that he was in the one-tenth of one percent of those musicians who actually seem to have a spiritual side.
Was he a sinner? Sure he was. Like all of us -- but we all (believers) try and recognize that all we have comes from a God in heaven, and we will be judged for our short life here when we get there.
Don't believe me. Ask anyone who has had a near-death experience (NDE).
“Did God choose you or did you choose God.”
Ephesians 4–5
Yes. I agree.
But being worthy will not keep us from a relationship with Him or keep us out of heaven -- according the His word.
Thank goodness for that :-)!
Paul is a good guy. He is loyal to his friends and wife and grew up well adjusted from a very nice family.
But don’t ask Jane Asher ;)
The child’s soul is pure, but like a seed, it has not developed.
Often I will know when women are pregnant before they do as the pure soul that hss just arrived from Heaven radiates Love in all directions like a fire hose.
Thus in order to know and experience God, your soul must be as a child.
In the process of a soul growing it must encounter difficult experiences that create resistance to growth in order for the soul to gain strength. Like a tomato seedling that encounters no resistance and grows tall and spindly, but wilts and dies when it meets resistance.
Love is the key as obstacles to Love hinder soul growth.
Had my doubts about the group ever since John said they were more popular than Jesus.
22 years and counting....(died 11/29/2001)...

The question arises, Where does instinct come from?
In John 9, the Pharisees ask concerning the man who was blind from birth, “Who sinned, this man or his father?”
If he was blind from birth, when or how did he sin?
I know Jesus’s answer, but it’s a real good question.
Why are all souls not equal?
George was a great musician
I don’t look to him for religious direction. Why would I?
His music is in no way brainwashy trying to get me to convert.
He was brought up Catholic and rejected it. Join the club Same as just about everyone I grew up with in New York suburbia. I don’t ask them either
Anyone who knew George had great things to say about him. He and his wife, Olivia, had parties at his house where he would hand everyone a ukelele and have everyone play
He was lovely.
“ Why are all souls not equal?”
What kind of a dumb question is that? Don’t imply Jesus said that
This is the kind of trash that emerges when you want to talk about the Beatles and religion
They’re mutually exclusive
George was an excellent musician and song writer. I don’t look to rock stars for advice on spiritual or philosophical matters.
If all souls are pure when born, why are they not equal? But we know from experience that souls are not equsl in many ways.
That’s a legitimate question.
Any baby screaming at you because it did not get its way tells you of our true selfish nature, our inner selves. We are not born innocent. We spend a lifetime trying to overcome it as Christians.
People who compartmentalize can justify any behavior.
Everything, including the reason for life on earth, is spiritual.
I thought the Beatles were all Catholic except for George. They all had somewhat Irish names, except for George Harrison. Actually, he was the only one who was raised Roman Catholic (John and Ringo were brought up Anglican, and Paul came from a mixed marriage and I believe wasn’t brought up either Protestant or Catholic).
George may have been something of a hypocrite when he wrote his parents that his devotion to Krishna didn’t affect his devotion to the Church, but the headline is more sensation-seeking than appropriate for a serious discussion.
Yup. He’s so fine
