I’m just trying to figure out why you hate baby boomers so much that you dragged out a calendar and looked up the birthdays of every 60s rock ‘n roll star to make sure they belonged to the “Silent Generation”.

Weird post, and I don’t get why you are so hung up on post 162, and angry on learning that some musicians weren’t of the generation you thought they were on a thread about the boomer generation.

You brought it up strangely and misleadingly in your post 146 for some reason.

I had a guy tell me that it wasn’t the boomers who made all that racket during the 60s. You know, Rock ‘n’ Roll, The British Invasion, Woodstock, Heavy Metal. etc. He told me it was the “SILENT GENERATION”. Funny, I never heard a peep out of the “Silent Generation”. Just crickets. I never knew they existed.

If Boomers are post-WWII birthdays. When were the Silents born?

It used to be the 1925 to 1945 generation but lately, a lot of sites are using 1928 to 1945, and also the generation before that is now being called “the greatest generation” which is new since Tom Brokaw created it to sell his book, and it doesn’t make sense as a generational name.

You described it perfectly. Their success rate might be as low as 1 out of 100,000 and still they can make money stealing from the unawares.

It’s shocking that, after maybe 30 years of the spam nonsense, anybody would fall for it.

I’ve got multiple layers of protection that do a pretty good job, but STILL some of the gunk gets through. My phone rings with maybe one junk call per day which is tolerable.

The big problem is companies that do not use caller ID and they call from multiple phone numbers. I’ll get a call back from a company support person or a contractor from a mystery number and have to decide whether to answer it or not. It might be a call responding to an inquiry I put out a few days earlier.
