Your odds of being killed by chopsticks in the brain are low, but never 0…

Well it looks like my sainted Irish mother was right when she said: “Never run with chopsticks in your nose!”

Must have been trying to pick his nose.

Stupid people will do stupid things.

When I worked as a gastroenterology nurse, we had a guy who came in the ER with a fishing hook stuck in his rectum. He had eaten fried chicken the day before...chewed and swallowed the chicken bones and all. Then some splinters of the bone got stuck in the rectum. So he thought that it was a good idea to use a fishing hook to grab the bones and pull them out. Needless to say, it was a “$hit-show” that required surgery.

My mother had GCA...she became totally blind. She really went downhill quickly after that.

He did the “chopstick challenge”, then got drunk and forgot he stuck them up his nose?

Very sorry to hear that about your Mom. I’ve been dealing with for 10 months, been 7 since diagnosis and high dose Prednisone start. Vision still ok for now, that’s probably my biggest worry. No one I know had ever heard of GCA until I got it.
