I take no joy in deaths on either side of this conflict. This war is about a sliver of land in part of Europe that has traded hands multiple times over the past 300 years. The idea of a peaceful Europe that respects each other’s borders is a myth. 1946-1991 was an anomaly in time. What happened in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia is the norm.
