And a hazmat suit. To avoid the acid rain.
And before that it had never snowed in Jersey in the previous 200 million years!
“Back in the 80’s we got 8 inches of snow on Thanksgiving Eve.”
You can thank Global Warming for the milder weather since that time. :)
Several counties in East Tennessee canceled school today because (get this) it is WINDY. You have got to be kidding.
Can’t speak for 200 million years ago, only 71.
I was just thinking that this sounded like a fake weather warning that we seem to be getting so often. We were supposed to have a solid ten days of miserable cold rain, which turned out to be a beautiful Indian summer week-end. It has been cloudy the past two days, but still no rain.
Once the school I taught in was cancelled for 3 days because of a tire fire. Tire dumb was 4 blocks from the school and the whole thing eventually went up in flames. EPA made us close down.
“It is too difficult for us to figure out what the weather will do because of climate change.”
What it is—is the dumbing down of the weather forecaster profession so they can’t count their fingers and toes any more.
Sunday River is open with 1 Lifts Open, 5 Trails Open, 46 Acres Open, 4 Groomed Trails.
Ah, the annual big storm disrupting travel plans is right on time.
Back a few years there was a Thanksgiving weekend nor’easter that hit while mr. mm and I were driving to NH to visit my son. It was this same day.
He lost power a few hours before we arrived and fortunately, had a coal stove so we could stay warm. We did the turkey on the Weber and it came out awesome.
He didn’t get his power restored until Saturday, after we left. But we had a great time otherwise.
They have created all of these scary terms to describe the weather conditions, like some kind of river. I think that they just like using them. Also, I think that college interns take over jobs in the media around holidays and they are always more radical and more political. I know that used to happen at the WSJ. I called them on it one time when the interns were running the editorial pages at the WSJ. The person admitted it and asked how I knew. LOL.
Yes. But it’s fall.
A conservative living in South Jersey...We’re going to have a blizzard! 😁
I wish Bill Gates would just hurry up and block out the sun.
I guess they repurpose this headline every year...for what, now....DECADES???
Beware .... WEATHER!!!
the sissies name snowstorms now... drama Drama DRAMA

Atlantic County is quite conservative. Matter of fact the biggest town near me Hammonton, still has Trump flags flying, and it happens to be Jill Biden’s hometown. LOL, I had her maternal grand mom as my 3rd and 4th grade teacher.
What happen to the Big Storm of ( whatever year) That is how we identified storms in my day. My grand remembered the Big Storm of 88. That’s 1888.
