Our ski club had some 60 people booked for Mammoth Mountain last season. NONE of them made it due to their being TOO MUCH SNOW! Roads to the ski resort were closed so much the tour operator gave up and sent us all back home. Those of us with trip insurance got full refunds.
Never had to turn-around and NOT go skiing because of too much snow ever before!

Anchorage just broke snow records for first two weeks of Nov. They got 25 inches in two back to back storms...now headed into deep freeze and ice.
