Fans of Pence and DeSantis have been doing that to get closer to their heroes at rallies. When Pence dropped out it sent thousands into deep depression.

I just don’t “get” it personally though. But I am old, maybe I am just getting out of touch, but even Britney Spears seemed more talented and memorable than Swift.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything she has done, but she’s constantly in the news feed, for something or other.
Yep, New Jersey's Governor Phil Murphy. Krispy Kreme Christie, should be banging on Murphy about that, instead of making stupid comments about Trump.

I'm skeptical, but not completely discounting it. Swift has increasingly taken on the "girl power" visage, which could be standard feminist cover for her ticking fertility clock.
The question is: If Taylor Swift wanted to have your baby, given she's worth $750 million and doesn't need (or want) your support or input - would you do it? Many guys would say "absolutely!" without realizing its something which will hang on them for their entire life.
Swift is a narcissist SO there’s that as well....she attracts them with her fem fatal then dumps them from what we’ve seen so far....though I don’t follow her she does pop up in the news all the time.....which is part of branding her to the masses.

My son dropped off his wife at her concert and went to see a movie.

You don’t like what she does and I can easily understand that but she’s talented as hell. She seems to naturally create super sweet pop confections better than perhaps anyone in the last seventy years. “Naturally” meaning she just does it without audible calculation. Over the years many many songwriters have scored a one off that had the accessibility and melodic grab that she churns out regularly but they couldn’t repeat to save their lives. The people who can’t stand her dislike her for the very thing that her millions of fans love about her music. And no I couldn’t t name one song or album of hers or even hum one of her tunes.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate her. And I am glad she is a success and wish her the best.
But when I listen to her.. she is good, reminds me a little of a singer from the 80s called Tiffany who was very popular for a while.
But these people saying she is greater than Elvis, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson... yeah.. I just don’t see her having that kind of staying power over the years.

It seems at 33 years of age shes hotter then Elvis was at that age (relative to her initial success)If I recall Elvis was doing the comeback special at that age. She’s been around for over a decade, I think she should have timed out already but I think the dearth of any real songwriting/singing talent today may explain it. There’s no one coming up behind her to displace her.

Yes, I have fond memories of Linda, especially because she was from Tucson where I grew up. Her dad had a hardware store there where I used to shop.

She doesn’t strike me as someone who does hollywierd/music industry, bidding.
I don’t particularly like the music, but you can’t say she hasn’t turned the tables on the industry.
