At almost every site today, I’ve noticed an article about DeSantis’ footwear. Our country is in friggin turmoil, the border is wide open, war is breaking out world wide, and the media is concentrating on boots!!!!
Give it a break and discuss something of importance!
I agree with you that DeSantis is not yet ready to be POTUS.
However, his vanity is not an issue. We all have points of vanity that we are concerned about and take steps to minimize those points so that we feel better about ourselves. There are very few people that lack any form of self-consciousness and take no steps to minimise where we might feel unattractive in society in genera.
That’s the picture that came to my mind.
Everyone saying they don’t care, what they really mean is they care, they just don’t have a good answer for it. They may even feel a little humiliated for backing the wrong horse. As Dilley would say, it’s a failure feedback loop. You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge. If you don’t fix the failures as they go along, one failure leads to another and one day you’re knee high deep in failure and getting beat by Nikky Haley.
I don’t care if the governor is four feet tall. Intellectually and position-wise, he stands head and shoulders above his competition.

A bit of trivia: Adams joined the Marine Corps during WW II. He served in the South Pacific at the Battle of Guadalcanal. Later on he was a drill instructor.
Adams was a gifted comic. But he was also a serious bad ass.

People with inferiority complexes attempt to hide their perceived defects. They end up looking worse than they would if they chose not to cover them up. What else is he hiding? Trump could wear a wig or toupee for his obvious thinning hair. He hasn't, and simply works with what he has.

And that’s exactly when I dropped him from my A-list (not that he cares).
DeSantis’s defenders offer many explanations for that change. And some of them seem reasonable.
But as the old saying goes, democracy dies in darkness.

If you look at the pictures of the DeSantis wedding you will see he is barely 2” taller than Casey. Look at the pictures of them now
