Newton the last Mage or so hevtjought!
Quote
So then the time times & half a time are 42 months or 1260 days or three years & an half, recconing twelve months to a yeare & 30 days to a month as was done in the Calendar of the primitive year...
....
That’s describing the ‘Days of Noah’ when it was hinted at in the scriptures that there was 30 days in each month and 12 months..
That doesn’t happen today.
And as for 42 months, the Roman Beast does in fact have 42 months in their 3.5 years, but the Sovereign doesn’t.
The Sovereign has 43 months in His 3.5 year pattern, as He has an extra month in every 3 year period (a 13th month)..
If the world ever gets back to 360 day years, it’ll take some worldwide event(s) like at the Flood to affect the primitive 360 day year and even 12 months of 30 days..
Currently, the only one that has a 42 month period equated to 3.5 years in Daniel’s 4th Beast Rome.
As for 2060, if Christ died, buried, and resurrected in 60 AD, it’d be a good guess given the about 2,000 cubit clue in Joshua..
Since scholars say it’s closer to AD 30,31,32,33 about 2,000 would be only 7-10 years away, and yet today too..
Newton wrote more on Bible topics such as prophecy than he did about math and science.

Hey - I'll be 96 and raising heck! (Perhaps)
The Tribulation will be the final 70th year according to Daniel and will last one week of years or 7 years. This last week of years will start with the covenant between the Antichrist and Israel. The 3 1/2 years/42months/1260 days is 1/2 the duration of the Tribulation.
The last 3 1/2 years starts after the abomination of desolation by the Antichrist in the 3rd Temple.
Then, the Jews will flee from the Antichrist and leave Jerusalem.
Most of us will be dead by then.

I’ll be 89 years old and will have lived through a Great Deflationary Crisis & another World War.
“Good Times.”
Interestingly, Newton did not predict a day or hour either.
Why is it whenever someone suggests knowing the season, the knee jerk reaction is so often with the contention that nobody knows the day or hour?
It's a wasted argument because nobody is predicting that so the comment is irrelevant.
OK, show us where someone is date and hour setting.
Isaac Newton” We could stake the truth of Christianity on this passage alone:”
Daniel 9:
24 Seventy weeks* are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
* 70 weeks of 7 years ( OT year 360 days)
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem* unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
* Artaxerxes command for Jews to return to Israel from captivity (March 1, 445 B.C.)
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off*, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
* 69 weeks x 7 years= 483 years, discounting 5 days per year
goes to 477 years from 445 BC to 33 AD— Christ’s triumphal entry: Christ’s death that (literal ) week.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week*: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
* the 70th week is yet to come (the tribulation). Of this no one knows the day or hour; it begins either at or after the rapture of the church(69 weeks are past)
In the Olivet discourse of Matthew 24, Christ refers to the ‘parable of the fig tree’. We know from other references in scripture that that the fig tree is emblematic of Israel....
Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
In 1948, Israel became a nation... it put forth its leaves. Now add a generation to that date... what do you get? What year will the oldest person born in 1948 die? That would appear to be the end date for the period of time when that prophesy could be fulfilled and be true....
It used to be that the singularity according to Kurzweil was going to happen in the 2040s. He has moved that up by a decade recently to the 2030’s. According to wikipedia
Kurzweil describes his law of accelerating returns which predicts an exponential increase in technologies like computers, genetics, nanotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence. Once the singularity has been reached, Kurzweil says that machine intelligence will be infinitely more powerful than all human intelligence combined. He predicts intelligence will then radiate outward from the planet until it saturates the universe. The singularity is also the point at which machines’ intelligence and humans would merge; Kurzweil predicts this date: “I set the date for the Singularity—representing a profound and disruptive transformation in human capability—as 2045
Newton and everyone else who has investigated possible countdowns using any kind of ratio or 1:1 actual days, runs into the difficulty that both OT and NT prophecies have non-specific relationships between 1260 days, 1290 days, or less precise ways of saying three and a half years (which is technically 1278 days or thereabouts). About half of attempts consider the two intervals to be consecutive (adding up to around seven years) and the other half assume one unified period where 1290 days is thirty days after the events of 1260 days.
Also causing difficulty is the fact that a number of different events take 1260 days — are they all the same 1260 days, or overlapping but not equally timed?
Newton’s effort involving one year per “day” is by no means unique, it is fairly common because if any triggering event was in the Biblical era, then 1260 days would have to involve a ratio of at least that much to prevent a logical disconnect (an end to the countdown before the present time). As we move further beyond any reasonable historical triggering event, even the year to day ratio is becoming obsolete and efforts to decode are generally returning to a “real time” basis, so that virtually all recent efforts consider actual 1260 day intervals.
When I said there were several different events, these include (a) Daniel’s interval to the “end of the shattering of power” which is delightfully obscure and could involve either the end of continuous shattering of power, or an end that is a shattering of power, (b) the period where the woman who brings forth the messiah is persecuted by the dragon, (c) the period of activity of the two witnesses, and (d) the period of the Beast’s control of the world.
Are all four of these to be expected concurrently? They could be concurrent, and they seem related to an abomination but one detail which is very puzzling is that an abomination occurring after all of those tribulation-type events seems like it occurs at the wrong end of the 3.5 years (one would think this abomination might precede not follow the tribulation).
Anyway, I don’t think Newton had any special insight, his scheme seems very obscure now, starting from an event in 800 AD that is not widely seen as significant to prophecy. The idea that an end could come in 2060 or later is just Newton’s realization (like many) that the 1260 days are followed by additional days, at least 30 (to the abomination) and perhaps more.
From all evidence, Newton’s error could turn out to be naming too late a time rather than too early. I don’t know what date to suggest but it does feel like we could already be into the 1260 days. We would not know about the struggles of the hidden figures described, but we can certainly see good candidates for beastly figures in our current situation. As for the Daniel concept of “shattering of power” that is so generalized and vague that it could refer to anything, probably one reason why these prophecies appeared to require a “do over” by New Testament angelic visitors to scribes like John of Patmos, adding to information Jesus already gave to disciples.
One time countdown to monitor would be any significant event related to Biden’s ascent to power, starting possibly before his (probably fixed) election, for example, COVID lockdown period in 2020-21. Events since then have appeared to converge on prophetic scenarios. I consider it possible that we are a long way into the 1260 days as of now, and the final events could appear before us at almost any time.
It is worth noting, “no one can know the exact day” is only half the picture, the other half being that the exact day clearly comes without warning, which tells us that no obvious valid countdown will be underway with thousands of people watching carefully using some well known timetable.
It implies that the trigger event for the countdown has to be relatively obscure, otherwise a lot of people would not be surprised by the end of the countdown.
So when you least expect it expect it.
If the writer doesn’t know what he meant by his writing, they never read Daniel 12 in the Bible.
PING!
I've wondered if 1967 is a better date, since that is when Israel regained Jerusalem.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.Things have been quite in Israel until this month. Chapter 12 might be over already. If the second prophecy of Revelation 10:11 began after the seventh trumpet then get ready for Chapter 13 next. The rapture in Chapter 14?
Considering that the WEF has set the year of 2030 as the year it wants to have its plans implemented, I see no reason to not think that the end is that close.
I've seen that suggested as well, along with the idea that Israel needs to occupy all the lands to the borders that existed during the reign of King David.
They do not yet, and it seems unlikely that they ever will, at this point, but who knows? Stranger things have happened with regard to Israel.
