My point was that we lucked out in that it only took 3 weeks. In effect, I was saying that if we never picked a Speaker, we’d lose the House. Even in your great wisdom, you had no idea when or if we’d ever pick a Speaker. Now that we have, you can act like you knew all along.

And of course old man Rupert Murdoch turned on Trump, along w/his lib loving (his wife is a big lib) son Lachlan now running Fox, and they are backing DeSantis for Prez who is turning out to be a big loser; they backed the wrong horse. Hope Trump as Prez can exact some revenge on the Murdoch family.

I was forced by Mrs Central Va to watch Fox last night. Fox tried their very very best to spike the new speaker election story!!!! I kid you not. The speaker election was not the lead. Laura didn’t talk about it at all. Jesse may have mentioned it in the LAST segment for 30 seconds. Brett put it in the middle, not the lead. Shawn, I think talked about it briefly somewhere in the middle with Newt.

BRAVO. Well said. The left better not be the only ones that are “woke”. We folks on the other side of the equation better WAKE UP real fast to the realities of the domestic war we are facing, or we will be eaten up from within before we are attacked from without.
Under the Biden Admin, both will happen if we don’t fight back as ferociously and more so than they do. The left are dirty fighters; we have to realize this and defeat them at their own game.
I was glad that Gaetz spearheaded the removal of McCarthy. My only problem was that I had no idea when/if a replacement would be chosen. Now that one has, I fully expect him to be far better than McCarthy. I would’ve liked Donalds or Jordan, but Johnson appears to be fine.

They basically took the strongest weapons to use against the Democrats off of the table during election seasons, rather than let the country suffer through the impacts of Democrat policies and then run on a platform of reforms.

Gaetz and company disrupted the entire GOP line of succession in the House. They hate him for that, but its what the party base wants.The "new guard" threw out the way that the "old guard" elevated people through seniority into leadership positions that freezes everyone else out. This practice effectively institutionalized the rot that metastasizes over time as the old-timers grew and strengthened their little fiefdoms within the caucus.
Now we have to find the "Gaetz" of the Senate.
