I think this would be a wonderful idea.

But let them really do it right. Before they set up their demonstration let them:

Step 1: Dig up the raw materials for the demonstration using equipment that runs on solar and wind.

Step 2: build the equipment to dig up the raw materials

Step 3: Build the manufacturing center and all required machinery, using materials that were dug up by the equipment constructed by the raw materials that were recovered only using wind and solar.

Step 4: since some of the material comes from locales overseas, construct the methods of transporting said materials without cutting down any trees

In money printing of the last three years the money supply, M1 and M2, have increased by an historic and unprecedented 500% or more! Raising interest rates will do nothing to stop this inflation monster. In fact, nothing will stop it period. Our money has been made worth less. The change in money supply in Canada is only 32% and yet it is seen as the reason for inflation there.

We are well and truly screwed. The DOE projects are just a wasteful symptom of the actual disease.

Let the capitalist system do this. Why are taxpayers playing this “throw money at every Utopian idea” game? Our system has been corrupted. Think Solyndra…..tax dollars for our friends!
