Good. For once CA can be a model to the rest of the states

While I reflexively oppose anything that Newsom champions, there might be something here.

We eat poison and have been eating poison in America for several decades now. Future historians will look back on this time much the same way we look back on ancient Rome for drinking out of lead cups, only the Romans didn't know better. We do.

We are consuming poisonous garbage and it is contributing to untold health consequences for the country as a whole.

Adding Peeps to my shopping list, along with ammo and magazines, for Reno.

The four newly-banned additives are: brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, propylparaben and red dye No.3.

I'd support a national ban (as a start; there are MANY more).

If more people understood how the masses are being made to become dependent upon government as a result of chemicals that we're gaslighted as being "GRAS", Conservatives would never lose an election.

But I'm sure the overarching tone of this thread will place me squarely in the crosshairs.

Newsom is clueless on these additives.

Companies should just stop selling things in CA.

Sure it’s a big market, but if enough companies do it, it will change its ways.

Like the tobacco companies. They sell more cigarettes out of the country than here in the US.

Nope, I’m totally with you on this. This stuff should be banned everywhere. It’s contributing to the stupidity epidemic.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why it would come from Newsome of all people.

“stupidity epidemic”

LOL. That’s been my mantra for a couple years now (i.e., “pandemic of stupid”).

I’ve encountered numerous 20-30 somethings the past year who believe it’s healthful to eat takeout (read ‘fast’ as included) on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, I’m watching my father kill himself doing exactly that. I can’t share why that’s so tragic until I publish.

A friend of mine has a son who would go hyperactive any time he ate something with red dye in it.

Maybe that’s because it was accompanied with sugar.

It’s a shame Narcan doesn’t work on Skittles. Priorities ya know.

Will they still allow mRNA vaccines in California?

Yes, Red Dye #3 has been linked to hyperactivity and ADHD as well and other things as well.

It’s not FOOD in any sense of the word... the fact that stuff is legal shows you that the government is owned by the corporations and big donors not serving the people.

Now those contraband shops on the Nevada side of the border will have a whole lot of new products to sell.

Non-red candy didn't bother him.
