Your tin foil hat is on too tight. Predators attack when they think their victims are unaware. No one has perfect information, reason, or ability to act at all times. People make mistakes and miss right in front of them. Sometimes there is no 4D chess or lines to read between.

They did not seem to see it. Their warning systems may have been neutralized by an enemy, the one helping Hamas. Some say Russia behind the attack.
