I think this excerpt describes the perspective derived from recent history:

I can't game out exactly how progressives will overreach and trigger some kind of broad pushback. Sometimes it's small things that trigger bigger changes. McCarthy's ouster with unified Democratic support might have lit a fuse.

Like a volcano that has been dormant for hundreds of years and past its next historical eruption, we are overdue for a major political pushback. No one can predict who, when, or how this pushback will commence or where it will lead. Some senior citizens, or, as my friend calls them, "Golden Angels," might think they don't have much time left and might want to act to do some good before they die. Or, it might be young people who could be the critical agents of change.

Take a few minutes to read the entire commentary ... it's not very long.

The RINO count hasn’t changed. What has changed is that the RINOs have been made aware that their friends “across the isle” are most definitely not their friends.

On a side note, is there a site that tracks the staffs on Capitol Hill? Because that is where the true power is.

From the article: “we are overdue for a major political pushback.”

I’ll buy that and think the pushback will be in the conservative direction.

The article is philosophical. For instance, it says, “One of my essential axioms is that people must experience failure to succeed ultimately”.

Mother Theresa beat him to that conclusion with “Wisdom comes from suffering.”

Well done ... and excellent point. Perhaps the inexorable “swing of the pendulum” is at the very beginning of taking us in the “right” direction. Cheers!

France in 1940

I thinks it's more like spain in 1930 since we have the government turning a blind eye to left wing violence.

In spite of all the church burnings as part of the red terror, it took an assassination of an MP by the federal police to kick off the civil war.

Its going to be A combination of divine intervention and Extra constitutional means. And its just around the corner.

The constitution has been temporarily subverted by a totally corrupted congress, judiciary and bureaucracy. This is currently being shown to the public through all the current machinations going on with Trump, the Bidens, covid, the economy, the border, and general lawlessness. This is the big reveal.

Reconciliation is on the horizon.

I wouldn’t hold my breath.

McCarthy was a fool to trust Pelosi to “have his back” and think he could ignore completely parts of his party... but honestly, most likely path is that another establishment guy will be the next speaker, and while he won’t ignore those folks that voted out McCarthy, he’s not going to just let them control the house either.

Meanwhile the establishment GOP will silently work against those folks who did vote against McCarthy..

Personally, I view this whole thing as a clown show, that makes headlines but isn’t likely going to change much of anything.

Exactly! Keep the momentum going and don’t give them time to plan and regroup. When conservatives delay the liberals have time to change words and meanings and form a narrative with msm. If we continue to act and throw everything at their face everyday and hour they won’t be able to distort everything. We need a conservative blitz right now and McCarthy ouster should be our Lexington Concord moment! Bring Trump in as SOTH to keep up the pressure. Democrats are now being seen as extreme by normies an i.e. We will shut down govt for Ukraine funding! Biden says build the wall but I don’t think walls work, so I’m for it and against it. They are too entrenched in their ideology to make a quick pivot.
