I watched this interview yesterday and found it very enjoyable and funny at times.
Bill kind of tried to take credit for Trump’s deal with the Mexican President to hold Illegals in their country and try to stop them on their southern border.
This statement I found interesting by Bill:
“he thinks Trump has something on Putin that kept him in check”
I do not believe this is correct. What he had over Putin was the major increase in the US production of PETROLEUM and NATURAL GAS. Russia is a major Petroleum and NG exporter. Putin and many in his country have gotten RICH over the sale/export of these two commodities.
Trump INCREASED the production of both of these commodities by relaxing restrictions to their drilling and development. By doing this WE flooded the market. To the point that during covid(2019) the price of WTC went to below ZERO. The front contract traded in NEGATIVE US DOLLARS because every tank in TX was full.
Oil in Alberta was sell FOB @ $18/barrel.
In addition we increased NG exports to Europe. Again, by changing the laws in the USA. This drove down the price of Natural Gas on the world market.
The combination of all this cheap energy coming out of the USA was great for US consumers, Chinese and Japanese but bad for RUSSIA, IRAN, NIGERIA, SAUDI ARABIA, VENEZUELA, QUTAR and every other OPEC member.
IMHO, this is what Trump held over Putin and every other Arab country that really HATES US. It was costing these countries like Russia BILLIONS of dollars in lost revenue.
Never could stand Bill O’Reilly.
