The only reason I traded in my almost 5 year old XS Max was they gave me $800 for it, making the 14 Pro only $200. I do miss the larger screen, but appreciate the smaller size. My eyes are getting old, so next time I upgrade it will be a bigger screen.
Yup. Personally, I wish we'd just decide on one freaking charging cord and stick with it. I like USB-C. I don't particularly care for the way the europeans forced the issue, but I'm generally happy with how it came out. What I don't like is the fact that iphones dropped the actual 'home' button a while back. It'll be a while before I get a new phone anyway. I wait until 6 months after they stop updating the model I'm on, and then get at least one, maybe 2 steps down from the 'current' model so I don't pay through the nose.
I had one more reason. My XS has a hairline crack in the screen and a charging port that went kaput. I was going to toss it, but thought I would try a wireless charger to resurrect it before doing so. I bought a 5W wireless charger for $10 and bingo it worked. I use it as a golf GPS and other odd and ends. I have to preload the course at home because there is no active sim card. The 13 Pro Max is mostly on the counter unless I am answering calls, texts or traveling.
