You would think after the Bud Lite disaster, these corporations would have gotten the message. Apparently some of them haven’t. Or, they don’t care about profits any longer.
I am going to guess that women are the primary purchasers of Dove products, maybe even overwhelmingly so. If true, I bet any boycott will fizzle in comparison to the Bud Light backlash. What they might lose with some women they’ll gain back with other women.
They have a line of soaps and shampoos for men as well.
At least, they did.
Dove now race hustling bkmk
Correction: Dove now politically-correct marketing . . . bkmk

The word “budlighted” needs to go into the dictionary.
How is that a “good idea”? The vast majority of fat people are fat because they lack discipline, self-control, and any notion of self-respect. Why should that be encouraged? It is because being fat is now “accepted”, that we have so many fat people.
How many bars of soap does it take to clean a whale?
What a waste of space...a lot of space.
She could be the spokeswoman for Gold Medal Flour.
I would hate to watch her eat...
Its obvious she has never passed up a biscuit or several...
Dove is owned by Unilever.
Nuff said.
A shame. Dove is one of the better products if you have a septic tank. The typical high detergent and anti-bacterial body soap foam creates problems with our outlet filter. Fills up with little white balls of detergent.
Boy Howdy! I find it interesting that darn near every commercial I see any more features at least one and usually several obese black women. Mostly fat and ugly. I wonder what that says about the ad agency. The company paying for the advertising? The black community?
phew.
In the maker of Dove’s defense, appealing to obese people is good marketing. It takes a lot more soap to wash an obese body than a slim one.
This is from 12 years ago...
Per the link, blacks watched twice as much TV.
Interesting that blacks time-shifted viewing was less than whites, though.
They say “don’t drop the soap”!, but I will definitely be dropping dove.
