“Of course we will have to “do our part” and provide support, intelligence, etc. But when it comes to dismantling Russia, why quibble about that? The price-tag is affordable - less than what the federal govt. spends on countless other senseless projects. At the thought of the dismantling of Russia, a true American patriot would be too busy rejoicing in the fact that all of that military might which was once threatening us is going up in smoke.”

What do you mean “Our part”, paleface? You are not even an American, so save it. As for dismantling Russia, that would take our military in a massive war. Ukraine and the Europeans can’t do it. Paying the price is small you say? You mention Russia has thousands of nukes aimed at us. They might just use them on us. I say Ukraine isn’t worth the life of a single one of our kids and certainly not taking even one single nuke on our land. Yes, I would smile if Russia went away but they’re there and not going away. We’ve put up with them for generations even though we could have crushed them at any time since 1945.

So it's come to that, has it? Displays of personal rancor, and ad hominems.

Quite apart from the fact that you are quite mistaken: I have U.S. citizenship, and no other.

As for dismantling Russia, that would take our military in a massive war.

Dismantling the U.S.S.R. did not "take our military in[to] a massive war;" in fact, we were hardly involved: The Russian people - and the other peoples of the U.S.S.R. (Estonians, Latvians, Ukrainians, etc.) - did it all by themselves.

I have repeatedly referred, in my postings (incl. replies to you) that we could hope for a semi-peaceful IMPLOSION of the Russian Federation - analogous to the implosion and (more or less) peaceful dismemberment of the Soviet Union.

So please STOP repeating the specious assertion that a dissolution of the Russian Federation into its component parts necessitates the involvement of any foreign powers!

Regards,

Lighten up, Francis. It’s from an old joke about the Lone Ranger. More proof you’re not an American.

The current Russia isn’t going to get any smaller. The russian people won’t stand for it being partitioned or truncated. It will take a big war.

What, are you keeping score, now?! Watching to see if I "slip up?" Childishness!

I'm not going to waste my time, explicitly acknowledging your use of tired old jokes or hackneyed Internet memes.

And you shouldn't be wasting your time, trying to "bait me." (Or are you paid per posting?)

There are plenty of "Autonomous Republics," "Autonomous Districts" (okrugs), etc. with predominant non-Russian majorities, and no love of Moscow. It is not implausible to imagine several of them breaking away.
