I agree. Plant a garden in your front yard and start to become independent from the supply chain.
Nice lawn picture when the dandelions aren’t flying their ugly gray seed heads. Ninety percent of the broadleafs there are white clover, whereas, in nature, there would be 90 percent “the uglies.”
I live in the south. I don't know where this lawn is but we have one in our neighborhood and it is beautiful, but it is a lot of work to maintain. I talked to the homeowner and he told me that he has to actively weed it (like 4-8 hours a week), because some really aggressive plants will seek world domination, e.g. elephant ears. To make matters worse, it seems that every hurricane brings in some new type of weed. Also, the homeowner told me that he has to keep a buffer from the houses next door because some plants send runners under the soil and pop-up 3-4 ft away from the mother plant (like elephant ears).
I'm sure he shaves them though, it would be easy enough to verify by finding his IMDB page listing all the Russian Gay Porn videos he's been in.
The neighbors need to call this guy to mow that lawn.

I lived 2 doors away from a homeowner who went native.
You could not see their home from the street with all the trees and tall grass except for a glimpse from the curved driveway.
