Foie gras is nasty. I’d as soon smear Lubriplate on a cracker and eat that. I still don’t favor banning it.
California tried this some years ago, but Native American tribes are exempt from state laws, or at least that law. Thus restaurants at tribal casinos and markets on tribal land began to carry the delicacy. CA then changed the law back as they realized that it did not do anything to stop the enjoyment of the food (which is delicious!!!!)
Liver is terrible...Chicken liver, Goose liver, Beef liver, Anything else liver...It’s ALL terrible!!!! (Just my opinion)
Stop it already. This is too much. I am overwhelmed by all the reasons never to go back to NYC. I don’t need one more. I stopped eating out in Chicago after Foie gras was temporarily forbidden in the city. They revered themselves after all the suburban restaurants started selling foie gras appetizers.
The only thing liver is good for is bait for catching Catfish.....
Aristocrats arguing over appetizers, while their kingdoms dissolve in chaos.
The government is not supposed to control our lives.
You obviously have never made scrapple or liverwurst. Nothing from an animal should be wasted.
I had a teacher in the 2nd grade that sat down and made me eat liver...I threw up all over her...Liver hasn’t crossed my again and I’m 74 years old...
my lips...
Duck liver?
I thought foie gras was goose liver.
If you’ve ever farmed and raised what you eat, you eat liver, kidneys, heart, snouts, tounge, and stomach. Scrapple gets the rest of the less desired parts. Scrapple is just about the best tasting product from animal butchering I’ve ever had. Lard cooks, stores, and tastes better than any vegetable shortening.
I was born and raised on a farm just outside Townsend, TN...My dad raised Angus/Hereford crosses...Mom had a huge garden...I hunted for years and ate what I killed, but I DID NOT EAT LIVER...I really don’t care what you eat...What matters to me is what I eat...Or don’t eat...
