One of the guy’s other companies shot a Falcon 9 last night carrying Starlink satellites to orbit, then tonight (Friday) he shot a Falcon Heavy (aka “BFR”) into orbit carrying a school bus-sized Hughes comms satellite. Both launches were flawless, and all three boosters were recovered safely, to be reused. Tonight’s were the 211th and 212th such recoveries.
I don’t really care what he does with Twitter/X. It’s a social media platform, providing a service that’s fun for some, interesting for some, but hardly essential for … well, anything. If it goes away, I might miss it a little, but not the way I miss $1.79 gas, affordable groceries, or even my not-too-far-away kids.

Turns out that FR remains a premium channel.
But you already know that.

Let’s hope so. It just caused trouble especially for trump. The best thing would have been when he became president they didn’t allow him access like they took obama’s blackberry from him. There was precedent.

The functionality is the same.
Perhaps (gasp!) somewhat improved.
Even for those of us who don’t pay for Blue Checks or whatever will replace them.
Who cares what it’s called?

So you’re the other one. You and I are obviously outlaws who found a way to disguise our oddball profiles on a forum allowing screen name anonymity. I’m also not on Facebook or Instagram. You two are not alone.

I just looked up x.com and found this wiki info.
X.com was an online bank co-founded by Elon Musk, Harris Fricker, Christopher Payne, and Ed Ho in 1999 in Palo Alto, California. In 2000, Musk was interested in merging with competitor Confinity Inc., a software company also based in Palo Alto, because it had developed an easy payment system. The merged company changed its name to PayPal and the X.com website redirected to PayPal.
In 2002, eBay bought PayPal for US$1.5 billion. In 2015, PayPal was spun off and became an independent company. As of July 23, 2023, the X.com website redirects to Twitter after Musk decided to rebrand the social networking service as X following his acquisition.
So Elon has owned x.com all along. Smart business move to keep it after selling the business.

It's also x.com which sends you to Twitter as well.
Plus X is vastly superior to what old Twitter used to be.

What on earth are you talking about?

I joined Twitter after Musk took over.
Its been a great experience.
Being able to post to the greatest man on the planet (Elon Musk) and other great men and even sometimes get replies and debates, is just great.
Plus going hard core on the far left crazies is wonderful.

I love it now
No more yanked posts
Not sure strategy here honestly

There is (or was) a feature of Twitter, where you could set up an embedded widget on your site, blog etc. that showed your most recent tweets. It was a very nice thing to have, an additional way to engage your audience. Instead of them having to go to your Twitter profile page, it delivered your latest tweets on you blog or whatever’s page.

It’s reflexive in late middle age
And this is an older age forum no question of that
Being always negative is a manifestation of avoidance syndrome
