Kind of like the guy the movie “Into the Wild”.
Living off grid in the rain forests of the Pacific North West is not a problem, except for the bears and cougars - the furry sort. Only drawback is almost all of that land is National Park or Forest. Along the west coast stretch, its mostly Tribal land.
Its a temperate climate except for a few months in the winter, plenty of berries to harvest and dry, lots of salmon and so on.
There was a TV show several years back “the legend of Mick ...” who lived barefoot most of the year.
My wife and I are looking into more rustic boondock camping.
I’ve been camping since I was a kid with hundreds of nights under canvas, in a hammock etc. some car, some rustic and some miles from civilization.
I know a guy who won on Alone.
I wouldn’t consider off grid for life without lots of research and training.

* What happened to the man?
* Why no man?
I suppose it beat using a “Living Off The Grid For Dummies” book.
