If shooting a dog sparks outrage, but aborting 67 million babies in the past half a century is an expression of some kind of freedom ... you might be a Democrat.

“Concerned citizens have raised questions about the officer’s actions, emphasizing the need for accountability, police conduct, and animal welfare.”

Qualified Immunity means they have badges and don’t need no steenkin’ laws!

FYI, the worst police abuses of civil rights occur in Democrat dominated cities and states.

And you are definitely right that there’s a connection to abortion in there.

They’ll shot four legged dogs, but not two legged ones.

The onus of protecting your dog from getting shot by a LEO falls squarely on the shoulders of the dog owners. Keep your mutt away from the police and it wont get shot by the police.

ONUS: DEF.A difficult or disagreeable responsibility or necessity; a burden or obligation. Responsibility for an error or fault; blame. The burden of proof.

If all of it pisses you off, you might be a libertarian.

Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina,...the guy is a light weight in comparison, and a victim of trickle down, so a great scapegoat.

There have been officers who didnt give the owner an opportunity to control their dogs. You cant take the time to control your dog when the officer walks up to it and shoots it.

I told you cops and dogs don’t mix. There needs to be some serious reeducation of some dumb cops ASAP

So when the police show up uninvited, force their way into your home without a warrant, and then threaten your dog the dog owner should protect their dog?

I’m good with that.

Most of these dogs were in their own house or yard.

The case a few weeks ago, the police busted down the wrong door and then shot the dog.

There was at least one where the police chased the dog through the house and shot it hiding under the bed?

So your argument is people should keep their dogs locked in a vault in the basement, and never leave the house, because the police have a responsibility?

A police woman knocked ona door, and a 17 year old boy answered with a Wii controller, and he was shot and the police said nothing she did was wrong

It's the parents fault, for noting having their teenager leashed, and allowing him out of the basement.

Sounds like you are suggesting that LEOs can shoot dogs with impunity. So explain how we hear of LEOs shooting dogs that have been in a fenced yard. The dog was contained. The LEO enters the yard and proceeds to shoot the dog.

How do you suggest the homeowner protect the dog from a trigger happy LEO that busts in your door?

NOTICE the Police Chief’s last name “Failing.” Does this give you any clue as to the accountability or QUALITY of the Lorain PD?????

Absolutely sickening. That officer should be fired and serve some jail time. He’s no one who should have a gun or have any authority over anyone.

In fairness, they can.

Cops carry guns all day, every day, and never get to make Bang Bang.

When you consider the number of old line LEOs who have been replaced by small animal burners who never got caught...
