Additionally, just because Russia may be committing war crimes is no reason for us and our proxy to commit war crimes.
Um - no, cluster bombs ARE a war crime
“Neither Russia nor Ukarine are signatories of the of the 2008 convention limiting the use of cluster munitions.[7] The use of such weapons against civilians violates the principles of humanitarian law and therefore constitutes a war crime.[8][4] Reports of Russian attacks have prompted the International Criminal Court to launch an investigation into the commission of war crimes in Ukrainian territory.[9][10]”

“Wagnerites” continue arriving in Belarus, - Pentagon

Russian terrorists from PMC Wagner continue to consolidate in Belarus.
This was stated by Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, informs Censor.NЕТ referring to LeagueBusinessInform.
“Given what we see in Belarus, we see reports that Wagner PMC troops continue to move into the region and, I think, continue to consolidate there,” she said.
She also noted that the US Department of Defense saw the terrorist group’s forces being “sort of reintegrated” into the Russian army.
Earlier it became known that the Wagnerites began training the Belarusian army.
Here is a hint of how frequent the coverage has been that the rest of us have been seeing for 17 months.
“The cluster munition attack with the highest known civilian casualties occurred on April 8, 2022, when Russia launched a Tochka-U ballistic missile equipped with a cluster munition warhead at a crowded train station in the eastern city of Kramatorsk as hundreds of people were trying to leave the area. A detailed Human Rights Watch investigation found that the attack killed at least 58 civilians and injured over 100 others.
“Hundreds of cluster munition attacks by Russian forces have been documented, reported or alleged since Russia invaded Ukraine, the Cluster Munition Coalition (CMC) said.
The CMC’s annual report on the use of such weapons around the world found that Ukrainian forces appear to have also used cluster munitions at least three times, adding that there was no evidence of Kyiv acquiring cluster munitions from other countries this year.

They have not stopped using cluster weapons either. As usual with the more advanced weapons, they are used mostly on civilian targets.
There are big difference between US and Russian cluster munitions. US munitions are more reliable and have a lower dud rate.

“Russia, which has been showering Ukrainian cities with cluster munitions that have dud rates upwards of 30% (meaning that 30+% of bomblets remain unexploded and dangerous) is very very upset about the U.S. supplying Ukraine with cluster munitions that have a dud rate below 2.35%.”

In Belarus, another large convoy of Wagner mercenaries was spotted arriving at a military unit in the village of Tsel, where a tent city is located.

The journalists spotted the convoy at 11:12 a.m. local time today. In the picture, the vehicles stretched for almost 2 kilometers from the exit of the M5 Gomel-Minsk highway. The convoy includes trucks, buses, cars, and Gazelle trucks.
Today, the Telegram channel “Belarus of the Brain” posted a video of a road train moving toward Minsk on the M5 Gomel-Minsk highway. Almost all the cars have the Wagner symbol and Russian tricolors. It is likely that this is the same convoy that arrived at the military town of Cel.
The Belarusian Hayun monitoring group, citing The New York Times, reported that more than 100 units of Wagner PMC equipment had arrived at the camp near Osipovichi. The New York Times also received today’s satellite images of the tent camp in the village of Tsyol, made by Planet.
It is clear that the convoy of Prigozhin’s mercenaries, which was spotted in the morning on the M5 highway heading towards Osipovychi, has arrived at the military field camp in the village of Tsel, as expected. The NYTimes writes that this is the largest public appearance of the PMC since its failed uprising in Russia last month. Source:
“”””The use of such weapons against civilians violates the principles of humanitarian law and therefore constitutes a war crime.
Skywise do you see that? Cluster bombs are legal, but like any weapon they can be used in a war crime against civilians.
“Is using them a war crime?
The use of cluster bombs itself does not violate international law, but using them against civilians can be a violation. As in any strike, determining a war crime requires looking at whether the target was legitimate and if precautions were taken to avoid civilian casualties.”
“The part of international law where this starts playing [a role], though, is indiscriminate attacks targeting civilians,” Human Rights Watch’s associate arms director Mark Hiznay told The Associated Press news agency. “So that’s not necessarily related to the weapons, but the way the weapons are used.”
As I said originally and which you’ve confirmed.
It’s (D)ifferent when we do it...

No they aren’t, see post 71.
What is different?
UM yes they are, see post 53
You are very confused, cluster bomb use is NOT a war crime, but using them against civilians CAN be a war crime.
