I thought Graphene was the name of a woman in a Country song. I think she’s related to Lerlene and Pralene
Nyuk nyuk!
Jolene’s brunette sister.
Don't mention "graphene breakthrough" to this guy
it'd be impolite
one effect of mastering graphene production will be that the cost of water desalination will drop dramatically—making it economic to use desalinated sea water for farming. that will effectively double the size of habitable earth.
The israelis are doing a very smart two step.
they desalinate seawater at their best plants for about $500@acre foot. Then they send that freshwater to their cities. After the cities use the water—the water is piped to their farms.
To make seawater cheap enough to directly send to the deserts without first stopping at cities—would require costs of about $300@ acre foot delivered. That would make it economic to farm all fruits vegetables and nuts— as well as cash crops.
$300@acre foot is not cheap enough for field crops like corn and wheat. That would need the desalinated seawater to be about $100@acre foot maximum.—but in most cases much less.
This is the graphene ping list.
