I’m surprised Dallas Jenkins didn’t include “nudge, nudge” along with the winking.
It would have been as theologically accurate as the wink.......
And it came to pass..........
The concept of The Chosen is great.
The execution of it is about 50/50.
The scenes where he stuck mainly to Scripture are the best ones. The ones that have no Scriptural basis are pretty vapid.
The series had a lot more potential, and maybe still does, if he’d drop the back stories and just stick to the accounts of events as recorded in Scripture.
“Like they have a choice ... you wanna feed your family, you gotta work and in order to get work you gotta tow the party line.”
There’s always a choice.

He and others claim we simply lack of sense of humor if we don’t find joking about such things to be amusing...
It’s not a funny joke(s), as we know
He’s 0 for 3
It comes off as insincere since he didn’t change until the controversy was flying
I put him in the Andy Stanley camp
When he denounces the Book of Mormon and LGBTQ publicly I’ll be more apt to believe him.
It’s not that there was an “LBGTQ” person hired for the production - he responds to an argument not being made. The individual put symbols / graphics on their cameras/equipment, wearing clothing, etc. promoting this cause and message - seeming to be deliberately disrespectful to whom he was working for - decorating your camera, etc. has nothing to do with your job. They were also indifferent to this by allowing this imagery into the highlight reals of the production. That is another issue. But he responds with “well, we were just hiring a cameraman and wanted the best person for the job.” Has nothing to do with the issue that arose.
That and being indifferent to get core theology correct, and finding humor in things that should be completely devoid of humor are all real cause for serious concern.
You don't really reflect that you get that message by hurling personal insults and calling someone a troll who is not trolling.
This guy?
(he responds to an argument not being made)
Of course. Just like the CEO of Bud Light.
They push the godless reprobate agenda and then act like victims when it backfires.

Just to clarify, The Chosen isn't a movie, it's a series. However, the studio that produces it, Angel Studios, is also distributing the Sound of Freedom movie.
