My mind keeps going to “A Yugo - only worse.
Probably economical due to using 6 in-line 12 volt car batteries though...
Oh, man, there are some fat people that won’t make it into that thing! “Shariza, git yo twerkin azz into dat car!”
“My mind keeps going to “A Yugo - only worse.”
That little ditty goes through my mind every time I read an EV article.
I’d never venture onto the roads here in Tulsa with that tin can. These people are beyond stupid. They’re crazy. And, “crazy” has increased tenfold since we stupidly legalized drugs.
An unrelated item you just reminded me of…
Did anyone notice there is one of the former Soviet carmakers. I don’t know which.
But for some reason, its current growth rate, seemed to beat Tesla.
Really.
Communist pos.
I do not.
China is eating our lunch.
Only because the real enemy here at home is serving it to them.
I think those are the result of one company planning badly.
There are many other examples, only those we know of, borne of a society spurred on by the state rather than innovation. Example:

Wow a one-party state telling their serfs what to drive. How great. /sarc
Have a fire extinguisher at the ready.
Laugh as we may, but that ‘car’ is FAR SAFER than a scooter, or a bicycle, for that matter.
Clever idea to put the driver in the middle. I always wondered why that wasn’t done with Western cars, but now I know that the transmission hump prevented it.
Throw off the yoke of a one-party top down state then you will have real cars and a real economy. Freedom begets prosperity.
Sorry, should have warned you. On this site, if you drive anything to work that weighs less than 6,000 pounds you’re not considered a REAL MAN.
The EV manufactures have to agree to standardize a removal battery pack that all cars can use and replace in a matter of minutes.
What could go wrong? 😏
I really don't think that's a concern. Considering that a typical EV battery weighs around 1,000 pounds, there's no way you can replace it yourself. You'd have to take it to the dealer and let them do it.
Since these days you have to make an appointment to take the vehicle in (dropped mine off this morning after making an appt. a week ago) they're going to have it all day no matter how fast it takes to replace the battery. They'll probably have to order it from a local warehouse too.
Can’t remember.
Is that SCTV? Perhaps Laugh Trax? Or long ago when SNL was occasionally funny?
Really, for $179 how can you go wrong?
Unless you’re wearing white.
But, if it’s after Labor Day, then it’s your own fault. 😜
