Considering affirmative action hiring, no surprise. Is this true in Canada as well?
I can understand she doesn’t want a doctor with obviously poor oral hygiene and couldn’t not speak English without a heavy accent, but she’s just blurting out what many people privately think.
don’t we all?
Canada and the British NHS are staffed largely by the cheapest "doctors" they can get. Which means doctors with "degrees" from South Asian schools with unpronounceable names in cities you never heard of. And these aren't even from the top of their respective classes, because the top of the class stays in their home country to practice.
Rural hospitals in my area are also doing this, but not (yet) to the degree that the socialized Canadian system does.
oooops....... a “walk in clinic”........ the only white doctor is a trans freak
paging richard levine
The whole story is so hysterically written it sounds fake.
However, should there be some scintilla of truth to it, I think there’s a whole lot Yahoo left out.
Gee, wonder why that would be?
—> My aunt understood zero of what he said.
First, they replaced my Microsoft computer tech assistance, but I had no idea what they said, so I hung up.
Then they replaced my doctors and I still don’t know what they’re saying, but I can’t hang up!
A friend of the family went to medical school, and is now a doctor.
He told me that if a white medical student failed a class, that would be the end of his medical career. He was gone, washed out.
But if a minority medical student failed a class, he/she was allowed to repeat the class. It was try, try, and try again.
This is obviously unfair to those patients who will have to deal with a substandard minority doctor. But it is also unfair to those many minority doctors who get through on their own merits. Because they will be suspect, for no good reason.
I don’t have an issue with it either, but I don’t believe that this was a matter of race:
She clearly cited the desire for a doctor who spoke ENGLISH.
I feel her frustration in dealing with foreign tech people. I cannot fault her for wanting a doctor with whom she could communicate.
But I wonder if she supported their ‘socialized medicine’ model...
White rage surfaces its ugly head. The designated Chairmen of the JCS wants fewer white pilots. Harvard wants fewer Asians. Biden’s cabinet looks like a Star Wars bar scene with virtually every race, ethnicity, gender, sexual deviancy, etc. represented. We no longer live in a meritocracy. And Canada is even more woke.
Yeah, and when a non-White demands a non-White it’s not in the news.
I have a close family member who is dealing with a very similar issue right now because the regular doctor is retiring. The biggest complaint is language... none of the replacement doctors looked at so far speak clear English and with hearing on the wane, that’s a very big deal. I suspect that the problem with what this woman said and did was that she made her requests quite unartfully... If she had of said “look, my hearing isn’t all that good and I need a doctor that I can clearly understand”, that would have been the end of it.
And?
I had a black GP once; he was a good Christian man and a good doctor. My next doctor was Egyptian. He spoke excellent English and was also a good Christian and a good doctor, but if I had to choose between a doctor with brown teeth and poor English skills, and a white doctor, it would depend upon which one was a better doctor. But I can understand the woman’s desire.
A white doctor or a witch doctor?
Does Canada have affirmative action? Or diversity and equity “goals” for ER doctors?
“This is not news, or should I say this would not be news 10 years ago or so. The racist atmosphere brought on to western culture is staggering.”
You can thank 0bama for setting race relations back 60 years.
I’d ask for a white doctor as well.
