I worked at a local military base until I retired in April. A gentleman there wrote a multipage document outlining the hypocrisy of the shots and the military in general. He’s still there, though he also is retiring soon. Neither of us got the jabs, and I know many who did are now regretting their actions. Only time will tell, but many of those are saying they have been suffering side effects of getting the jab. I pray they do not start dropping dead.
Agreed, to a point. I still stand for the universal Church of course, but the local brick and mortar, no, I will not as long they cower to the world.
I hear you. But church is not simply study.
We are to assemble. Publicly worship. Submit to duly appointed elders. Greet me another with a holy kiss. Sing together. Pray together. Take the lord’s supper. Have baptisms. Fellowship non virtually. Support one another and the spread of the gospel - personally, not through online donation or checks in the mail. Eat together. Submit to biblical church discipline.
Study at home, fine. But do not “forsake the assembly” as we are admonished in Hebrews.
Do you not understand you are part of the cowering when you stay home?
Unless you live in a very sparsely populated area, I am sure there is a church that did not bow the knee within an hour’s drive. Go worship with them and build the faithful church.
I have to agree with zeugma, plus there are other factors that figure in to my situation. I won’t go into those factors here except to say that getting up in the mornings has been very difficult when one suffers from Long Covid. Plus I’m finding out that not many churches have evening services, which for me would work out much better. So I also have to resort to personal study, and listening to the few biblical sound ministries that I can find (Rejoice in the Lord, Into His Likeness, etc).

Forgive my ignorance, but not sure what BFL means. Web search did not help.
It’s just a way for a user to mark a post for later reading. “Bump for later”, eg; “note to self”. The bumped post will show up in my ping list so I can read it at some later time/date. Nothing cosmic!
