Exactly!!
The inspections are scams anyway. Finding every little thing to charge me over or not pass. They got me for a broken back seat belt. I have never used the back seat in my car and never plan to and if I did I would know that belt isn’t working.
I’m on the side of freedom and personal responsibility on this issue. F them telling me what to do.
Exactly. And car companies keep installing giant screens in the dashboard. Should be illegal.
But that's it.
I agree
They certainly inspect them where I am from. The key for them is that usually they get the work of replacing the failing parts. That is how they make money on an inspection. Although I do admit that this also gives them the incentive to make stuff up in order to drum up some work. But they certainly are looking for legitimate failures. They would be foolish not to.
LOL. If you think these illiterate (in any language) mexicans have to show insurance to pass "inspection", you are living in a dream world.
Same in Texas, except it gets inspected in the third year.
I just did this.

Florida had state-run inspection stations that everyone had to go to. During summers, I used to take people's cars for inspection to make some money sitting in those lines.
Texas licensed out vehicle inspections to local auto maintenance shops. California does, too.

But in California, it’s emissions only. I believe none of this checking tires, wipers, brake lights, etc. crap.
