I don’t remember the details but it was in Texas.
My high-school folks chartered a bus that left from Lincroft NJ. We sat in the upper deck as well. Unbelievable.
I saw the original lineup twice.
The first time was TERRIBLE! They were falling down drunk, drinking Black Jack from the bottle, fighting each other on stage. Fortunately main act was Blue Oyster Cult, so the night wasn’t a total loss.
And in making sure it was a LS/BOC billing, I came across this. Pretty sure this is what I witnessed.

In any case, I saw LS the next year in Freedom Hall in Louisville, from right up front, and it was just a killer show.
The other LS story I tell was from the 1990s at a Neil Young show. Some idiot was yelling “FREEBIRD!” between songs as people were wont to do in that era, and Neil had enough of it and was haranguing the guy/crowd. Somewhere in there, Neil said something like “Those guys are dead!”, at which point a loud cry came up from across the way about 8 rows back, maybe 75’ from us (I had really good seats) “NO WE’RE NOT!”
Rossington and Collins were in the crowd! LOL
Frampton is probably my favorite but Live Bullet by Bob Seger come in right next to it!
Cheap Trick at Buodokan definetly in the top 5 of my personal list.

The extended version of Leeds is so good. It’s a shame we had to wait 30 years for it. Live Tommy blows away the studio version, which truth be told, was underwhelming from a recording/mixing/arranging standpoint.
They also released Live At Hull that was recorded the before the Leeds concert.
But the best is the 1970 Isle of Wight show.
My other favorite concert video is Chicago Live at Tanglewood 1970. Terry Kath was fire!

That’s a great story! People yelling Freebird at every concert everywhere (excluding CBGB, etc.) was so annoying.
If it hadn’t been for the gimmick of the “blow bag,” he’d have died in obscurity.

As a side note, when Cheap Trick's "Budokan" album hit it big the summer of 1979, I had no idea at the time about what "Budokan" was in reference to. I thought it was a location in the U.S. Well, that's what a public education will do for you.
I still have it on original issue vinyl. Now I’ve got to play it today. :-)
