Darn it, ruined the punch line.
If your parachute does not work, you have the rest of your life to fix it.
Sung that often. Still do sometimes.
I was complaining about track conditions at the old Texas World Speedway by College Station one day. I rode raced super bikes at the time.
Anyway, this guy walked over and said “ What do you want to do? Die an old man laying in bed ,pissing all over yourself.”
Safe and effective.
My son wouldn’t learn to ride a bike because he thought it was too dangerous. (We lived on a busy street with no sidewalks.)
Years later he’s in grad school and tells me he joined a club to meet girls....the skydiving club!!!
He’s made over 200 jumps and I’d be much happier if he just road a bike.
Isn’t it kind of hard to talk to a girl when your falling?
It’s not on mine either…anymore. I went twice last year and it was one of the highlights of my life.
LOL!
Didn’t make any sense to me but the club was 3/4 women and 1/4 men.
It was in Scotland. They are way weirder than we are .... for now.
Skydiving & Haggis - it’s a great combination.
Don't be pedantic. It's a perfectly common and grammatically-correct usage.
‘Their’ is plural, and is therefore NOT appropriate when referring to an individual.
So, if the police have not named the unfortunate person who died and we don’t know if the dead person is male or female, how would you construct the sentence?
“The parachuter died from the impact”.
“Skydiving & Haggis - it’s a great combination.”
When he was a kid occasionally I would put something new on his dinner plate and say “one bite”.
When I went to Edinburg to visit him, went out to dinner and he put Haggis on my plate and said “one bite”. LOL!
Skydiving & Haggis...not a big fan of either!
