L’Oreal works just fine. 😉
I earned every gray hair I’ve got
“Finding a way to get them moving again, which appears to be entirely possible, could mean the end of gray hair”
Most of the middle-aged women that I see with gray hair would prefer to keep it that way - it’s some kind of a statement, I think.
gonna put the hair dye people out of business
well except for the dayglo people
my SIL was basically grey when she was 19....lucky for her she’s beautiful so it was almost becoming....not like my old lady old grey hair...
LOL...I’m way past gray.
I’m 70 and only have a few grey hairs. That’s part genetics, part finasteride for prostate issues, and probably partly due to healthy lifestyle.
I’d say genetics plays a big part, at least in my experience. My FIL was half Lebanese, and he had jet black hair with just a few tiny grays at his temples, even until his passing at age 92. Never dyed his hair ever. So far so good with my husband, though he’s only 1/4 Lebanese. Everyone wants to know his secret, but it’s nothing he’s done. Just good genes.
All they ever had to do was figure out why the hair ‘down there’ doesn’t get gray.
Agree. Genes are part of it. But I have a pic of my dad when he was 70. He was all grey. My mother’s hair was a bit darker.
Finasteride used to be used to keep hair from turning grey. Only in the last decade or so has it been found to shrink the prostate. I use it to shrink my prostate—but a side effect is to keep out the grey hairs.
I have read somewhere that the reason that donald trump has blonde hair rather than grey hair —is that he too takes finasteride. likely for prostate issues.
I was fully gray at 35... the younger babes stopped chasing me shortly there after!...
Prostate issues are common for men as they age, so I wouldn’t doubt DJT has been helped in this regard. If finasteride helps with graying hair, all the better.
a few years back I let mine grow. it was cool and somewhat manageable, but you know what changed my mind!?? with dark floors in my house I started noticing gray hair clusters in corners on bleaning days!!! Its like really?? Like I had a gray lab retriever that is shedding! lol... Just walked into the bathroom and put a No. 5 comb on the shears and cut it all off?? my Youtube pic shows it well(Profile page)
cleaning**
I would love for my hair to have gone gray...it means I would still have it. :-)
I’ve seen people in their early to mid 20s with nearly fully gray hair - even turning white. Naturally - it was not bleached out or anything. I thought it actually looked really cool - young, youthful face with gray / white hair.
A candidate who was 30 years old at the time running for Ag Commissioner in Kentucky was accused of turning his hair gray to look older by his opponent. It wasn’t true - his hair had been slowly turning gray since his early 20s.
Grey hair? First world problem.
“All they ever had to do was figure out why the hair ‘down there’ doesn’t get gray.”
That’s easy..... it’s the methane gas that does it.
So, I'll have thicker hair from minoxidil, darker hair (and more of it), and (ahem) more (ahem) thanks to little blue pills than I had in my twenties? So, all I need to get ready is some lipo...
