Actually I see a larger percentage now that I am in North Carolina. There is a large portion of the black population that wear the mask still when out. In cars. parking lots etc.
It is especially noticeable because I live in a county that is half black. I do note that there is a large portion of that community that seem to be overweight and perhaps they see themselves still at risk.
We seeing changes due to real happenings.
A lady, who lives across the street just lost a younger sister to Covid?, pneumonia and /allergies. According to her adult son, the surving sister his mother is masked most of the day now.
Another lady/neighbor was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, and she became a self lockin. 2 weeks ago, she said to heck with it and is back outside, walking her dog and no mask.
Covid was nothing more than a speed hump on the Road of Life. It had minimal impact on how I live my life.
