I would think that before they brought out the Ark they would have to build the (third) Temple to house it. Thr building of the Third Temple is one of the keys to the end times.
If Isreal does know the location of the Ark of the Covenant they would not long refrain from retrieving it.
Further, the is well founded speculation that the original Temple was not on Temple Mount but several hundred yards away. What today is known as Temple Mount is the old Roman garrison, thus the heavy construction of the walls.
If Jews in power are not Christian Jews. What specifically is their motivation for a 3rd temple, red heffer etc. Are those related to their belief of the messiahs first appearance or something else?
Yes the second coming will bring in those Jews waiting for the first coming and the mooslims 12th imam or something like that.

The second temple didn’t have anything, did it? The Ark would have been lost with the destruction of the first (Hidden, destroyed, taken into Heaven).
I seem to recall reading an account of an impious Roman officer who bulled past the priests and looked into the Holy Place, and was surprised to see nothing, rather than the statues that adorned pagan temples.

I don’t think it will be there for the Third, though the Third Temple is coming, somehow, some way.
Its not a shock to me. Israel has known where the ark of the covenant is for years now.

Revelation mentions the Ark as being in heaven (11:19)
“19Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple. And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder, and an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.”
People disagree, I’ve read, whether the Revelation account is some sort of spiritual Ark...the Spiritual Arch Type reality of the Physical Mosaic ark that may still be upon the Earth.
I’m not sure what I believe about it all. I would be curious, if the true Mosaic ark is here on earth, whether or not it would still kill some one if they touched it in an unclean state, or whether that stopped just as soon as God split the temple veil in two upon Jesus’ death(okay an Earthquake but you and I know who really split the veil, even by several degrees of separation.) Ok a sort of “spiritual” geeky esoteric question that doesn’t matter very much.
David had a linen ephod on.

It was a priestly ephod...but how much of his body it covered has been speculated upon because of the “Michal Incident”

That’s why some people think David must have been naked, but the reality is that, David was dressed simply in ways that might have seemed physically revealing or in a way the diminshed in Michal’s eyes his kingly personage.. Michal had what younger people describe as an “ick” crisis when they see something about their lover or his looks or a certain tic of behavior that makes them suddenly not like being with the person they are with.
Well we learned that David “icked” her back by not having sex with her so that she could not have babies for the rest of her life.
