Almost Dilbert-sequel.
Those 80s Army commercials were the best.
Of all actors to chose for some government recruitment video, they chose this one. Even if he is innocent, it’s bad luck for the U.S. Army after all that expense now obligated.
So “Be All You Can Be” evidently involves strangulation.
Who knew?
More like “Beat All You Can Beat”
Bad news - Subway Jared Fogle won’t be available until ‘29.
Kang the Strangler.
I’m sure everyone was really shocked that a black man would be accused of beating up and abusing a woman.
NOT!
Terrible ad! “when you look into your future ...” like everyone has a fully functional crystal ball ...
It actually should say "Beat all you can Beat.
Way back when I taught marketing in business college, one of the lessons when choosing spokespeople was...never choose spokespeople, because whatever they do becomes part of your product’s image.
Smart companies either hire complete unknowns who are vetted for top secret clearance beforehand (Allstate Mayhem) or they create a made-up spokesthing (GEICO gecko, Tony the Tiger) or both (Limu the Emu and Doug).
Hire someone people know, and you’re asking for trouble, from as far back as OJ Simpson for Hertz, to Lily (Milana Vayntrub) for AT&T, to Jonathan Major. Lily has stepped in it not once but twice, first by complaining that she was being fat shamed, and recently by trumpeting her wonderful abortion and telling people who disagreed to shut up. In short, you might be lucky and hire the Mannings (unless there’s something we don’t know, remember Bill Cosby, spokescomedian for Jell-O?), but in general it isn’t worth the trouble.
Making revisionist versions of U.S. military battle scenes leads me to believe that that the Army knows their only candidates would be those dumb enough to believe such nonsense.
The Army's message is one of cognitive dissonance. The bus at the end of the video had a lot of white faces and the actors last message is to a white soyboy in the bus seat by the window.
I think ads should be realistic, like this one....
“Port of Call, Bayonne, NJ”

makes sense
Good one.
White, straight, Christian guys aren’t welcome in the Army, Navy, or Air force these days. Since the majority of our population that PRODUCE tangible things are White, straight, Christians, what makes you think they want to work and die for, degenerates?
FJB sure has been hiring or trying to hire a lot of misfires.
