And there’s the true story of the Tsavo Kenya man eating lions... who were wild and preferred humans to kill and eat. Great movie “The Ghost and the Darkness”. The lions there were quite adversaries with an advantage... truly fair game.
South Georgia and Appalachia are about all left of the vaunted southern redneck there
North central Georgia is dominated by the 6 million in metro Atlanta of Georgia’s 10 million total population
And many are northern transplants or from abroad or black
It’s not like the 70s anymore there
Those lions are now in some museum in Chicago.
Well he landed on his feet.
Thanks. That brought back memories.😸
Has the media gone after Carole Baskin/Lewis/Stairs/Murdock down at Big Cat “Rescue” for her requisite sound-bite yet?
It’s almost an unwritten law that Carole *MUST* be consulted.
And they were huge animals- what a pair of kills from the olde Africa. Thornbush kraal barriers which the lions came right through or over. Amazing.
I live about 50 miles due West. How far do tigers roam?
51 miles
LOL
“Was asked to take out a tiger who had killed quite a few people.”
I just watched the excellent new series “1923” (a prequel to “Yellowstone”) and there’s a big part of the series that takes place in Africa hunting leopards that are eating villagers and railroad workers. There are some amazing scenes reminiscent of the bear attack scenes in “The Revenant.”
They kept 2023 politics and mores to an absolute minimum in this series, unlike in the earlier “1883.”
