Love Kirkwood. My favorite resort in the Tahoe area. I live in Park City now we are approaching 40’ for the winter.
We could use some snow out on the eastern plains of Colorado, if you dont want it. Just saying.
Wow, it worked! You are right, no commercials! Awesome!
Apple Safari has gotten real flaky the past year or so. Pages stop loading. Ad blockers not working. When a page stops loading, Google Chrome will not launch.
I’ll try Brave. Too bad it won’t import all my many bookmarks from Safari (at least it wouldn’t when I started it). I’ll look to see if it can do that. I have LOTS of bookmarks and carefully organized in many folders.
Thanks for the tip.
Wow, I just tried AccuWeather. No ads there, either! Awesome!
Alta doesnt like people like me, same as Deer Valley (Snowboarder!)
Yeah, that’s a failing of theirs.
The Kid don’t like them either for that.
It’s really stupid. Everyone who skis, rides, tmarks, whatever should be welcome on the mountain. Even SnowNerd (sniff with an upperclass sneer when ya say that) got the message...they needed the cash from the kiddies.
It is thee best place in the universe to learn about, and identify narcissism.
AND, it was a piece of cake to import Safari bookmarks to Brave! I just had to grant Brave full disk access and it was done in a flash.
That’s gotta be one strong roof structure! That’s a lot of weight up there.
Mammoth Lakes, CA’s, ski lodge has received 498” of snow to date - with 696” (58’) fallen on top of the mountain. There’s more snow on the way, and it could dump heavily into May.
I work during the summer at a resort on an alpine lake - 17 miles SW (as a crow flies) of Mammoth Lakes.
FWIW - The current going rate for shoveling snow is $40 an hour.
Last year, the most snow to fall in the month of December, at this particular CA. location, set an all time high state record, with 16’.
The pay scale at that time was only $28 an hour to shovel snow.
I helped my former employer for 10 days over the Christmas holiday.
I’ve been contacted once again by my former employer seeking out my snow shoveling services, but the gleam in my eye is not so bright.
Instead, I’m hiking the Arizona Trail, in a southerly direction (Superior to Mexico) for 300 miles over the month of March.
We may not get into the resort until June, once Kaiser Pass is plowed open, so I may hike much more of the trail than first anticipated.
San Fran and la don’t save the water, the rest of the state does.
Here comes the ice age.
That is an amazing amount of snow.
Haven’t watched this video, but have been using newpipe.net player (Android) for YouTube videos. Haven’t had a single commercial so far. Also, YouTube stuff plays in the background (listen to music while browsing).
Thanks. I’m on my MacBook at home. The past 90 minutes with Brave has been great!
You are welcome
Yeah, I use Brave, too.
But I really like that background thing.
