Yes, she could. For a short-term, no-strings fling.
No young man will want to still be attached to a woman in her 60's when he enters his prime. Well, except for Macron.
Ben Franklin gave advice to young men to have their dalliances with older women, but only until he's ready to marry a younger one.
Good point. Which is why in smaller towns, it’s not uncommon for married couples to have started dating when they were in high school.
Does anyone even use the terms “Old Maid” or “Spinster” anymore? An unmarried woman in her mid-20s used to be called that.
I used to play a card game called Old Maid!
Women lived to 30 in Ben Franklin’s time. He was no looker.
The teenagers keep letting him. Yeah, he’s a creepy perv, but these young ladies are using him too.
I used her, she used me, neither one cared.
I read articles online about Marlon Brando and Lawrence Olivier, Tyrone Power, Carey Grant, Errol Flynn, (bisexuality) and actresses in The Golden Age like Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Jean Harlowe having multiple abortions.
I used to think Will Smith was funny, but he really has the ick factor. I can believe he made a move on Joe Rogan.
Ben might not have been a looker, but he was a charmer and NOTORIOUS for his many affairs.
"Average Life Expectancy" figures from 200 years ago look bad if you don't remove the high child-mortality numbers.
Those who made it to adulthood had good odds of making it to old age. Ben Franklin lived to 84, with his wife dying at 66. George Washington died at 67, Martha at 70. Jefferson made it to 83.
When Ben advised young men to seek older women, I think he meant women over 40 -- young enough to still be fun in bed, old enough to not worry about pregnancy.
