One of the best instrumentals in rock.

Can anybody add some more.

Great song!
I believe there was a longer version too.

stanglehold - ted nugent

I heard a story about his first album. The studio would not give them any time. But after his persistence they granted him one hour, one take. The whole album is essentially a live studio recording, and they nailed it.

“Can anybody add some more.”

Instrumentals or Edgar Winter songs? I like Free Ride. Jeff Beck had quite a few instrumentals on some of his albums. Hard Road by Deep Purple is another great instrumental.

That song was my first full length introduction to Hard Electrified Rock.
For me, Houses of the Holy (Zepplin) came shortly after.

All that power shook me up.
This had nothing to do with the Beatles or Motown or Burt Bacharach. Three kinds of music typically played in my home then.

This was probably the song Edgar Winter was best known for.
I think his twin brother is still around today.

I always link Frankenstein and Focus’ “Hocus Pocus” together.

Man, that guy was talented! Was privileged to see him in concert in Phoenix, a dozen or so years ago, along with BB King (who played/sang for 3 hours), and Dr. John. That was a great night of music!

Technically, "Stranglehold" is not an instrumental, but a great song, I know I'm a bitch.

There was another well done, full length party rock song:
Radar Love. That may have been from 1969. Facts tend to get fuzzy when viewed from rear view mirrors.

Definitely on my list of all time best driving songs. I’d post it up, but I think it’s currently on my NAS which is in a box in the MBR closet at the new house. Fun times.

My favorite All-Time Instrumental is Eric Johnson’s “Zap”

Oh. 1974.
There were so many good performances during that time, I get the order mixed up. Im thinking of Steve Miller and that song where he says “They call me Maurice!” That was a fun one.
