Yeah, I reckon that crocodile was probably just already full so he was planning to keep him for a midnight snack, not trying to be helpful.

As a fellow Gator (1974-1976), my guess is the croc wanted to get rid of all the rescue activity. They’re very private critters.

that is the most likely explanation- likely dropped the body by accident or fear of being ‘chased/observed’ by the boat=- just a croc doing what crocs do - might have become intimated by the large boat-

Crocodile Dundee dressed up as a croc.

A real tear was seen in the croc’s eye that day.

For everyone so quick to dismiss this as either a “crock” or just the normal crocodile behavior, which it is not, did any of you ever think of God? We frequently use the platitudes, “God works in mysterious ways”, “ God will never give you more than you can handle”, etc. Well maybe someone one that rescue crew had turned from God, bur upon witnessing this miracle goes on to bring faith and hope to countless other who feel hopeless and lost. Is it possible the mother, could survive the loss, but she would not have been able to handle never finding her son?
Beyond the hypocrisy of not believing in our own day to day platitudes, writing this off so easily and not even considering the possibility of God, how is that any different than those who would dismiss the miracles of Jesus as a “crock”?
Miracles happen every day, whether big, small, obvious, or hidden from view. in no way am I saying this is a miracle, a strange crock with a disease affecting its behavior, or a total con. The truth is I have no idea, but I was truly surprised to see that not one freeper so much as considered the possibility of God in this scenario ┐(゚~゚)┌

That’s basically what I said to my gf before reading your comment. Miracles happen. No way to know if this was really one of them.

If you want to get really deep in the butterfly effect of God and miracles...
What if it is a con, but God actually inspired the idea of it. Maybe he knew someone would read the stories about this con, someone who was writing a new book of fables. That book incorporates a story which took inspiration from this con, a story of turning from evil and turning to kindness. Down the line, a young man remembers his mother reading the book to him and especially the one fable of the crocodile. At his lowest point, he decides to turn his life around like the crocodile in the story. He does good for hundreds of people and creates a ripple of God’s love and light through generations. 🐇⛳️🤣😂

If the boy had been alive, it would have been more “miraculous.”

How reassuring
“Crocodiles kill an average of around 1,000 people a year but do not generally set out to hunt humans.”
